After writing my original blog post, I’m absolutely astonished to see how viral this video has gone. Despite YouTube constantly trying to pull it down, the original video that sparked all of this hasn’t been allowed to die. Now Casey Heynes, aka The Zangief Kid, gives an interview on an Australian television show, A Current Affair, about the video and a brief view into his life.
There is also this interview that was made with the bully that Casey took down. I’ve dealt with bullies enough in my life and seen them try to weasel there way out of a situation once they realize that they’ve really screwed up and have been caught doing it, so I have a hard time having sympathy for the kid. Certainly the nasty comments that are being directed at him are not necessary, but he clearly doesn’t feel sorry and his own story seems fabricated at best.
Like any good viral video, there have been a lot of remixes made of the videos. Be sure to check some of them out, they’re pretty well made. Here are some funny images I found, though:
