Text 6 Mar Back to blogging

After giving it some thought, I’ve realized that I need to do some more blogging. Not only these satirical and dry humor blog entries, but also some more serious things (but with as much tongue in cheek as possible). I need to get back to my blog. Writing is a very refreshing and also relaxing thing to do. I’ve begun writing a poem whenever I am sitting in the trains, always have my little notebook with me.

It’s hard to be a regular blogger, though, especially when I am so bloody active on Twitter. Twitter has not only helped me to write succinctly in both English and German, but it’s such an easy way to write and express one’s self. It also turns you into a lazy sloth. Anything more than 140 characters? Can’t be bothered! This needs to change. Maybe not every day or even every week, but certainly more often than my current rate.

During my trip to America I tweeted near religiously from my little feature phone that my parents loaned to me during my stay. I’ve made a screenshot of all of those tweets (thank you Awesome Screenshot extension in Google Chrome) and I will go back to read them and make one or two blog posts about my time back home. Quite some interesting things. I’ll also post a link to the screenshot for anyone curious about reading my real-time thoughts and expressions.

One way I have decided that will keep me coming back to this blog at least regularly is to start doing a chronicle of the tweets that I have starred in the past week. Hopefully I’ll be able to do it every Sunday evening, or at least every Monday morning and that should help keep my visits and updates regular - like my bowel movements.

So there will be two posts this evening. This one (and if you’ve made it this far, I thank you for your attention) and my first collection of tweets, I do hope you enjoy some of the nuggets of comedy and insight that I have come across over the past 7 days.
